Though P&G found success abroad in countries like China and Russia—and its sales grew to $85.1 billion—profits fell 8.8% over the past year, spurred by a lack of growth in the developed markets that drive the company's earnings. CEO Bob McDonald announced a 40/20/10 plan last June: His vision for the company focuses resources on its 40 largest and most profitable businesses, its 20 largest innovations, and on the 10 most important developing markets. --Colleen Leahey |
