The Social Entrepreneurs ????Jessica O. Matthews and Julia Silverman created the “sOccket,” a soccer ball that stores the kinetic energy produced in play and converts it into power, as a Harvard class project. Now Matthews and Silverman, both 23, hope to come up with more products for the developing world through Uncharted Play, the company they launched in May 2011. Their goal: to help others and make money (projected 2012 revenue: $2 million) along the way. |
