創(chuàng)業(yè)就是把“不能”變成“能”
????你有什么業(yè)余愛好? ????我盡可能多地抽時間陪伴我的朋友和家人。我有一個兩歲的侄子,他每天都提醒我,人生是一件多么特殊的事情。 ????你最欣賞哪家公司或科技人物?為什么? ????我父親。無論經濟、情感或道德方面的情勢有多么困難,他絕不會抄近路,走捷徑。每一項決策和行動都是以真誠無私的態(tài)度做出的,因為這是正確的事情,而不是因為他在嘗試著堅守任何來自外部或社會的規(guī)范。 ????除此之外,你還欽佩哪些公司?為什么? ????我欽佩所有的企業(yè)、公司、組織,以及因為真實而真誠地渴望解決某個問題、同時幫助世界而做事的個人。否則的話,做企業(yè)還有什么意義? ????哪一個技術部門最讓你興奮? ????神經科學和對意識的研究。我們即將更加全面地認識自身。我相信,人類之間產生更大的同理心(empathy)是真正解決人類問題的根本所在。 ????為了讓工作和生活保持平衡,你經常做什么事情? ????我為人生設定了工作和生活一體化的目標,并不一定要在工作和生活之間保持平衡。此外,我每天抽出15分鐘來理清思路,我不停地工作,同時盡可能經常地保持微笑。 ????所有領導者都應該具備的是哪一種特征? ????每位領導者都應該渴望不斷提高自我意識。人無完人,我們也不希望任何人都至臻至美。通常情況下,缺陷是討人喜歡的,但自我意識能夠讓領導者看到什么時候需要他們發(fā)揮優(yōu)勢,他們的弱點什么時候阻礙企業(yè)前行。自我意識能夠讓出于善意的領導者做當下需要做的事情,而不是屈從于他們自己的自尊心。(財富中文網) ????譯者:任文科 |
????What do you do for fun? ????I spend as much time as possible with my friends and family outside. My nephew is two-years-old and every day he reminds me of how special life is. ????What business or technology person do you admire most? Why? ????My father. No matter how difficult a situation was financially, emotionally or ethically, he never cut corners. Every decision and action was made with selfless integrity because that was the right thing to do, not because he was trying to adhere to any external or societal norms. ????What other companies do you admire? Why? ????I admire all businesses, companies, organizations, and people who do what they do because of an authentic and genuine desire to solve a problem and help the world. What's the point otherwise? ????What technology sector excites you most? ????Neuroscience and the study of consciousness. We're on the brink of understanding ourselves and I believe that greater empathy across the human race is fundamental to actually solving our problems. ????What do you do to live a balanced life? ????I approach life with the goal of work-life integration, not necessarily work-life balance. I also take 15 minutes every day to clear my mind, I work out, and I smile as often as possible. ????What is one characteristic that every leader should possess? ????Every leader should desire to continually improve their self-awareness. No one is perfect and we wouldn't want anyone to be. Often, flaws are endearing, but self-awareness enables leaders to see when their strengths are needed and when their weaknesses are getting in the way. Self-awareness empowers well-intentioned leaders to do what's needed in the moment, not what their egos might want in the moment. |
