馬自達RX—8：2003—2011年

????馬自達（Mazda）RX—8是采用了轉子發動機的RX—7轎跑的后續車型。大多數運動型轎跑的后座都存在先天不足，對于任何人來說用處都不大。所以馬自達在研發RX—8時，給它加上了一對向后開啟的小門，好讓它成為一款貨真價實的四座轎車，而不是一款有局限性的2+2轎跑。這兩扇額外的小門對RX—8的外觀來說沒什么好處，RX—8看起來很不協調，完全不能和經典比例的馬自達MX—5 Miata跑車相媲美，可能也讓消費者感到莫名其妙。

????The vestigial rear seats of most sports cars are of little use to anyone, so Mazda added a pair of rear-hinged mini-doors when it designed this successor to the rotary-powered RX-7. The idea was to make the car a genuine four-seater instead of a more limited 2 2. The addition didn't help the appearance of the RX-8, which looks ungainly next to the classically proportioned MX-5 Miata, and probably confused customers as well.
