福特穩(wěn)達:1995—2003年 ????世界上第一臺MPV是克萊斯勒(Chrysler)生產(chǎn)的普利茅斯—捷龍(Plymouth Voyage),一開始它的后方只安裝了一個滑動車門,不過克萊斯勒很快意識到了這個設(shè)計的不足,于是又給它安裝了第二個滑動門。十年后福特也推出了自己的MPV——福特穩(wěn)達(Windstar),但是福特并沒有吸取教訓(xùn),第一代穩(wěn)達只安裝了一個滑動式的后方車門。后來福特CEO艾利克斯?特羅特曼開玩笑地說道,這臺MPV的第四個車門在設(shè)計室里弄丟了。后知后覺的福特直到1999年才彌補了這個缺陷,不過為時已晚。這款笨重的MPV遭遇了一系列可靠性問題,雖然2004年福特將“穩(wěn)達”的名字改為“福達”(Freestar),但還是沒能避免它在2007年過早退市。 |
Ford Windstar: 1995-2003 ????Although the original Chrysler minivan came with only one rear sliding door, Chrysler quickly realized its shortcomings and added a second one. Ford, which came along with its van a decade later, didn't get the message and launched the original Windstar as a lopsided imitation with one rear door. CEO Alex Trotman later joked that the van's fourth door had been lost at the design studio. Ford belatedly rectified the shortcoming in 1999, but it was too late. The ponderous Windstar suffered a variety of reliability problems, and a name change to Freestar in 2004 couldn't prevent the van from a premature extinction in 2007. |
