美國三大汽車廠商出品的某些車型曾經是車市上的“常青樹”，但在眼下的全球經濟形勢下卻難逃絕種的厄運。此外，中國正在成為全球增長最快、規模最大的汽車市場，中國消費者的口味對汽車業的影響越來越大。現在，是美國的汽車再次進化的時候了。

戴姆勒的遺產 ????有一陣子戴姆勒（Daimler）增加了它在克萊斯勒的資本預算，道奇翼龍（Dodge Nitro）和吉普自由客（Jeep Liberty）等車型就是在此期間生產出來的。但是這些車型不是一般的車型——而是相當一般。《消費者報告》（Consumer Reports）雜志曾試圖找出道奇翼龍的“亮點”，但一無所獲，倒是找著了不少敗筆，比如它的駕乘感、操控性、燃油經濟性、堅固度與外觀、視野、價格和可靠性都差強人意。業內觀察人士認為，吉普自由客的2014款可能會轉移到菲亞特（Fiat）的平臺上。 |
The Daimler hangovers ????When Daimler was stretching its capital budget at Chrysler, it produced some surpassingly mediocre vehicles such as the Dodge Nitro and Jeep Liberty. When Consumer Reports looked for the Nitro's "highs," it couldn't find any; "lows" included ride, handling, fuel economy, fit and finish, visibility, access, and reliability. Industry seers believe the Liberty will move to a Fiat platform for the 2014 model year. |
